10. Because it was fitting for Him, for Whom all things were created, and by Whom all things exist, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11. For both He Who is sanctifying and those who are sanctified are all of one; for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren, 12. Saying, “I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the church I will sing praise to You.” 13. And again, “I will be trusting in Him.” And again, “Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.” 14. Therefore, since the children are partakers of flesh and blood, in like manner He also took part in the same, in order that through death He might annul him who has the power of death—that is, the devil; 15. And that He might deliver those who were subject to bondage all through their lives by their fear of death. 16. For surely, He is not taking upon Himself to help the angels; but He is taking upon Himself to help the seed of Abraham. 17. 10. 人間的一切都是為了基督,一切的創造是為基督,也因基督而存在。是讓基督帶領著眾多兒子,通過苦難,進入榮耀,是這始創者讓這救恩顯得完美 。
11. 讓那些正在分別為聖的,和已經分別為聖的,這二者成為一體,不再以互稱兄弟為恥。
12. 會說:我要稱你為弟兄;會在信眾當中為你發出讚美。
13. 會對神說:我相信。對這人說:看哪,我是和神的兒子一起。
14. 作為神的兒女,大家同屬血肉之軀,做同樣的事,就是藉著死,廢了那掌死權的惡魔。
15. 而基督可以拯救那些一生因害怕死亡而受到束縛的人 。
16. 顯而易見,神不會去幫天使,而是幫助亞伯拉罕的後代。
17. 身為基督,是要求行事以弟兄相稱,才可以成為慈悲忠信的大祭司,代這些人,為所犯的事向神獻上挽回祭。
18. 只因基督受過苦難,也受過試探,就能幫助那些正受試探的人。
希伯來書作者進一步去解釋神、基督和天使,就是那惡魔(v.14) 之間的關係。這處有一個很特別的用詞:神讓基督到來顯得這救恩更為完美。意思似乎在訴說猶太人的遭遇,是惡魔迷惑人心,導致苦難,就是用自己的方式,生顯出來,這些是在分別為聖當中,這些是以色列人分散寄居的遭遇成因,若是因為相信基督,這些正在分別為聖的猶太人,就可以和相信基督的猶太人,是已經分別為聖的,大家可以因基督的救贖,彼此再以兄弟相稱(和解),是v.11節的意思。
在v.13節,這位看來是猶太人作者說,因著基督的作為,二兄弟(例如不信的猶太人或者是相信基督的猶太人,同是亞伯拉罕之後)之間不再以對方為恥,在基督的救贖當中再次以兄弟相稱。v.14節,我們被誘惑分開,是因為大家都以血氣行事,現在因著基督,復和,也就同樣做一件事,不以血氣行事,一起去廢了那惡魔 (天使) 的影響力。v.15節,就說出這些兄弟,他們是一直流散的生活當中,害怕生存受到的影響,人數是愈來愈分散的影響所致,在v.16. 就清楚說明,如果耶穌是天使中的一位,神是不會去幫,因為天使是服役,而這些是亞伯拉罕的後人,是神應許保護的。
耶穌按族譜,是大衛之後(馬太福音1:1),那麼v.17節說明耶穌同是大衛之後,可以在族譜中認定是兄弟。既是兄弟,又被神稱為兒子,承擔救贖,像猶太人的祭司的職份一樣,為人所犯的事獻上挽回祭。這祭因為嚐過死味,是人經受過的痛苦,受過試探,就了解人為何作出錯誤的決定,只要相信,就能得到幫助 (被人幫是要自己願意)。
希伯來作者有份兄弟手足之情,在紙上寫的明明白白。似乎有人相信 (少數的成份較多),更多人不相信,歷史說明了這點現象。願意相信的人,憑什麼相信?是不是相信的人,說奇蹟是在他們身上出現,因為惡魔真的離開了。
這個原則也可以應用在今日信眾之間的關係,因為都是神的兒子,這名份是藉信耶穌,與基督同得兒子的名份。因基督而存在,讓基督帶領著眾多兒子,通過苦難,進入榮耀,是這始創者讓這救恩顯得完美 (v.10)。
