1. For the priestly law, having only a shadow of the good things that are coming, and not the image of those things, with the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, is never able to make perfect those who come to worship. 2. Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered? For once those who worship had been purified, they would no longer be conscious of sin. 3. On the contrary, in offering these sacrifices year by year, there is a remembrance of sins 4. Because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. 5. For this reason, when He comes into the world, He says, “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but You have prepared a body for Me. 6. You did not delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin. 7. Then said I, ‘Lo, I come to do Your will, O God. 8. In the saying above, He said, “Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin (which are offered according to the priestly law) You did not desire nor delight in”; 9. Then He said, “Lo, I come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first covenant in order that He may establish the second covenant; (A Faithful Version)
1. 祭司的律例,是將要來到的美事的反照,不是真實的現象,是需要每年重複同一樣獻祭的過程,卻永遠無法使那前來獻祭的人得以完全。
2. 若是可以,難道不會停止獻祭?因為帶獻祭來的,一旦被潔淨,就不會意識到會再次犯錯。
3. 相反,若是年復年地為獻祭所作的犧牲,是表示不停去記念所犯的錯。
4. 由此可知,公牛和山羊的血沒有去除罪孽的功效。
5. 正是這緣故,當基督出現時,說:犧牲和奉獻你們都不想付出,為此用動物的身體代替。
6. 看來你們是不喜愛燔祭和贖罪祭。
7. 然後說:『看啊,神啊,我是來履行祢旨意。
8. 在接續上面的話,說:祭物和供物、燔祭和贖罪祭(按祭禮規定的)你們不願意,也不喜歡的。
9. 接著說:神啊,我來是要履行祢旨意,廢除第一個約,建立第二個約。
這段作者指出當時的人,去獻祭的時候,真實的內心想法是,對認錯是敷衍的態度 (v.8)。這就顯出舊約在以色列人中早就失效,卻成了人逃避的一種形式。
似乎這是個重要的理由,要廢除舊約另立新約的緣因。
到了新約,也有這樣敷衍的情況發生,同是看重儀式多於實義。
前約沒有效要改新約的要求,理由是什麼?
理由之一,因信稱義。因耶穌到來將獻祭的意義普及化了。理由之二,形式變成了實義,因為耶穌作了永遠的挽回祭。理由三,真心實意守約的人多了,人守約在心裡面,行割禮在心裡面,行道在心裡面,神再次親自與人同行。信的人不再須要會幕,也不需要耶穌的同在,人可以與神時刻同行,神是知心友就不用獻祭這類形式支撐。
燔祭和贖罪祭,有須要時,直接與神交待,談談總是可以得到解決。
