21. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped God, leaning on the top of his staff.
22. By faith Joseph, when he was dying, spoke of the coming exodus of the children of Israel, and gave a command concerning his bones.
23. By faith Moses, after he was born, was hidden three months by his parents because they saw that he was a beautiful little child; and they did not fear the king’s decree.
24. By faith Moses, after becoming a great leader, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter,
25. Choosing to suffer affliction with the people of God, rather than to enjoy the temporary pleasure of sin;
26. For he esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt because he was looking intently to the reward.
27. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he persevered, as if he were seeing the One Who is invisible.

21. 雅各憑著信,在臨終的時候,祝福了約瑟的每一個兒子,就手握杖頭,跪下吻地。

22. 約瑟憑著信,在臨終時,論到談到以色列人的後代要離開埃及,並吩咐處理他的骸骨 。

23. 摩西憑著信,出生後,被父母藏了三個月。只為見他可愛,就不畏懼王的法令。

24. 摩西憑著信,成為偉大的領袖,卻拒絕成為法老女兒的兒子,

25. 寧願選擇與神的子民一同受苦,都不願享受暫時的罪中之樂;

26. 更為看重基督所受的凌辱,看得比埃及所擁有的財富更寶貴,因為更看重神的獎賞。

27. 因著信,摩西離開了埃及,不怕王找狂。正是這份堅持,彷彿看到了那不曾顯現的神。

28. 摩西藉藉信,仍舊守著過逾越節和灑血(贖罪祭),免得那滅人長子的去殺他們。

29. 又憑著信,渡過了紅海,像走過乾地,埃及人試圖去追趕他們,盡數被海水吞沒。

30. 再一次憑著信,繞行七天後,耶利哥地倒下了。

31. 因為信,妓女喇合並沒有因為靜靜地接待了探子,而受到消滅。

作者用整個創世記到出埃及記當中的重要人物,用信心將他們連接,看信心如何在這些人身上,又如何將神的作為,顯明在這些人的身上,成為當時被揀選之民的榜樣。

1.雅各是憑信心去祝福他的後人。

2.約瑟是憑信看到將來必然有離開為奴之日,離開時帶他的遺骨一起。

3.摩西憑信拒絕享受圾及的榮華,寧願與眾以色列人離開,承擔起這信神一族的解放。

4. 妓女喇合因信神,違法地接待及拯救了探子,完成任務。

這處有一段在第22節談及約瑟的遺骨,是在提醒當時的民眾,記得有這一天的時候,該如何去處理。

它的出處是:創世記 50:24-2524.

24. And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. And God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land into the land which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

25. And Joseph took an oath of the sons of Israel, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here.

24. 約瑟對哥哥們說:「我快要死了。神一定會眷顧你們,領你們從這地出來,進入他向亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各起誓應許之地。

25. 約瑟向以色列子孫起誓說:“上帝一定會眷顧你們,你們要把我的骸骨從這裡搬上來。

這段起載,若是不按信仰的理解,它與許多民族復國的情節相似。究竟當中有沒有不同的情況可以解釋?

這裡嘗試提供一個看法,可以一起談談:

1. 它是好幾代人的一種心願。一般而言,復國的舉動不會涉及幾代的人,例如有卧身嚐膽的越王勾踐,都在幾年之後就復國。孫中山推翻滿清也是同一年代的事。

2. 沒有一國之民同一時間為奴。

3. 沒有一個被收養的為奴後人,成了貴族,仍舊對自己出身的民族,產生挽救的念頭。

作者用信心看這段猶太人的歷史,它是一種預視,是信心這事,是神與人之間獨會發生。也能超越民族和言語,可以用一個心思意念可以感受得到:就是信心。它在個人的範圍,影響的不是今世,也有可延續後代的意味。它不止因信成就了這人,在不仁的世代中站穩在做人這底線,更會影響身邊的人。

信心,有獨特的意味,只有信這位創天造地的神,才能讓人對之持定,將信心放在這位神的身上。
