11. And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon;
12. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him; and he causes the earth and those who dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13. And he performs great wonders, so that he even causes fire to come down to the earth from heaven in the sight of men.
14. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by means of the wonders that were given to him to perform in the sight of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image for the beast, which had the wound by the sword, yet was alive.
15. And he was given power to give a satanic spirit to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast also could speak; and he causes everyone who will not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16. And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bond, to receive a mark in their right hands, or in their foreheads;
17. So that no one may have the ability to buy and sell unless he has the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

11. 再有一獸，從陸上走來。他有二個似羔羊耳朵的角，說話卻像龍。

12. 這獸可以行使海上來那獸的一切權柄，專職使陸地及其中的民，崇拜那有一個頭受重傷而死，又康復過來那只海獸。

13. 這陸獸可以行大事，如火從天降，陸地上人人可見。

14. 牠在海獸的面前開始表演，用所謂的奇事，向在地居住的人進行欺騙，說：你們要為這獸造像，因牠須被斬死，依舊活著。

15. 這獸像有能力去進行撒旦的古惑，並說，若不去跪拜這像，死亡必會臨到。

16. 又會對人，無論是大是小、是貧曷富、自主或為奴的，會在他們的右手，或額上，給予一個印記。

17. 凡沒有印記、或獸名、或數字的，就失去作買賣的認許。

18. 就是要讓人，用他們的聰明智慧，懂得如何算計這獸的數字，他的數字是 666。

原來這個獸不是小弟，是化身，有羔羊的外貌，只是聲音改不了，這聲音是龍的聲音。因為天上沒有牠的位置，只有從海上而來，仍舊不敵那婦人，及其後來的傳人。牠又再化身另一獸，不從海上而是從陸地，因為在海上也待不下去。

因為是化身，所以古蛇就是那龍，又稱魔鬼的獸，有古蛇那一切的破壞本性和能力。天上不敵，海上不敵，這獸改變了應對的策略，在陸地去收買人心。

古蛇看透了人心，特別是那些頭上沒有神印記的，這回因為明白人內心有份追求，要成為大，就以基督的化身，只因一出言便露出了龍的真身，於是叫人做像。牠同樣有死後復活的本事，有人成為神的兒子，不信的可以成為魔的兒子，更能滿足人的獸性。

獸心人面的是屬古蛇，它的印記是被咬過，或者曾經作奸犯科，惡名超彰，被人視之為惡魔的，或者追求數字的，就是牠的使徒。這數字是三三不盡，六六無窮，是一組能誘惑人心的數字，是人可以從他本身的聰明智慧能去理解和產生追求。

這個666的數子，在原文 G5516 : six hundred and sixty six, the meaning of which is the basis of much vain speculation. 意思是有許多空間讓人猜測。在此表上文的描述，這是人手上的印記，它有三種：

1. 被咬過：mark. 無論是蛇或獸，都是用口，這是最讓人感丁害怕。[怕]能生出許多想法，這是黑社會慣用的手法，也是今日專政的共產主對付人有效手段。

2. 名號：因為是蛇的手下，當然不是好事做盡，而是壞事做到不留餘地那種，就是惡名昭彰。

3. 666：古有名言，錢不是萬能，無錢萬萬不能的說法。如錢按上文去了解，將666解釋為追求金錢，也符合上述的三個條件，而且錢，更能成為惡人和魔鬼的化身。

這三樣是與惡魔打交道的條件 (v.17)。

錢在正直之人是能夠取之有道用之有道。在為錢出買人性的就不是，這點在西方東方是沒有分別。例如今日美國覺醒，要政府機構成為有效不被欺騙的種種措施，發覺當中貪錢的數額非常之大。大中華的文化也是這樣，歷史更為悠久，手法更為多樣，說法不同而矣。

這獸最利害的是：欺騙 (v.14)。是向東方人欺騙，被稱之為龍的傳人之地，它是今日的共產中國。這樣的描述非常貼近今日中國的現實，中共就是一直在用欺騙整人治國攪侵略，要所有人歸向這[像]，行為像獸。這是何等生動的描述，是未世的現象，約翰受感指明出來的事，何其真實地展示在今日的世界格局。
