此段的第5-6節比較難理解。

如果將內容是針對猶太人在與耶穌相遇的場景去理解，猶太人對耶穌的反應，似乎是可以理解為當中有相信耶穌的猶太人，又有不相信耶穌是神差來，這二類別的猶太人。他們之間因相信和不相信，就產生了前者是有福的：v.6. 那些起初靈就甦醒過來的，有福了。

後者：那些在身體或者靈裡二者，其中一方死亡，不享任何能力只能作神和基督的隨身司鐸，伴隨作王的基督一千年。這處要理解一詞 second dead G2288 : 靈魂與肉體的分離，由此結束人世間的生命。似乎就是描述猶太人不信耶穌的，這些人仍是亞伯拉罕之後，受神應許祝福。既然不信耶穌是神差來，卻沒有不相信神與他們一直以來的關係。因此，得出的如果：享有應許卻沒有成為神兒子的能力。
