1. “Truly, truly I say to you, the one who does not enter the sheepfold through the door, but climbs up some other way, that one is a thief and a robber.
2. But the one who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4. When he brings the sheep out, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
5. But they will never follow a stranger for they will flee from him because they do not know the voice of strangers.”
6. Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they did not understand what He was saying to them.
7. Therefore, Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9. I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and shall find pasture.
10. The thief does not come except to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life, and may have it more abundantly.

1. 我實實在在告訴你們，不從門進入羊群，用其他方式爬進來，就是賊，就是強盜。

2. 從門進去的，是牧羊的人。

3. 這人是羊的守門人，羊懂得他的聲音。牧羊人可以按名叫各自的羊，把羊帶去放牧。

4. 羊被領出來，牧羊人就在前頭帶路，羊熟識他的聲音，便會跟隨。

5. 羊絕不跟陌生的人，會跑開，因為不認識這聲音。

6. 耶穌講這個比喻，他們不明白當中的意義。

7. 於是又對他們申述：我將事實告知你們，我就是那道羊的門。

8. 若有先我而來的，是賊，是強盜，羊是不會認得這聲音。

9. 我是這門。經我進來的，不論再出再入都得草吃，也必能確保安全。

10.盜賊來，無非要偷竊、殺害、毀壞。我來是要叫羊得生命，並且得的更豐盛。

11.我是好牧人。好牧人為羊捨命。

耶穌用門去描述他和信眾之間的關係，是怎樣的關係？是監護這樣密切的關係，你出去面對世界的時候，會給你草吃，當你回家，經過這門，門內也為你預備吃的草。一種能面對世界的糧草，一種是安然養生的糧草。因此，不論你出去面對世界，或回到家中，都不用擔心生存沒有保障這問題，你是被耶穌看顧保守，必然安全無礙。生命與耶穌一起，會是更為豐盛。

當時聽的人似乎都不明，因此耶穌就說明當中的緣由，如何活的更安全和更豐盛。

耶穌這是個口頭承諾，能信嗎？

一般人的口頭承諾，相信要視乎與對方的認知程度有關，相熟的信任更多。當時的法利賽人初次遇到耶穌，他們是從知識去分辨，在摩西的書上有記載，卻不曾想過真會實現。不了解耶穌是正常不過的，但耶穌做的事，倒有人作證，那是真實的事。當面對真實也會產生疑惑，同時正常不過的事，若將知識配合眼前的事實，懂得明辨又不存私心，總會去查明究竟，這是虛心的人必會為之。當然，以為自己可以解釋一切，這種理性的衝擊，對於個人的自信，是一種人性的挑戰，那是因為看表面為重要的心思，讓這人有難以下台之惑，這種感覺是從社會不自覺中培養成。是對事實不作出分辨，保存自尊的反應。

耶穌在此是告訴猶太人，他是神對亞伯拉罕的後代，作出延續的保證。只為他們因自以為是，用人間的方式去生活，這個民族就有被分化的可能，只會跟隨世界的標準，也會發生殘害自己同胞的一天。

為此，耶穌對以色列，就是這群猶太人，讓他們明白，他的到來，是一度能得享能力和平安的門。為什麼是門？是人心甘樂意，從這門出入，才有可能享受這份能力和平安。它的含義就是聽明耶穌的道，站在光明的一面。

耶穌似乎是挑戰猶太人：不要從解釋中去認識，而是從真實的體會中明白。神從來可以從自身中感受得到，是經歷不是知識。
