13 無論什麼，凡奉耶穌的名求，必成就，能讓父因兒子得榮耀。

14 若以神的名，藉耶穌，也必成就。

15 人若愛我，是會守我的吩咐。

16 我會求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師，永遠與你們同在。

17 這保惠師是真理的靈，乃世人不接受，因為見他不到，就無法認識。你們是認識，為的是常與這靈同在，也住在你們裡面。

18 我絕不讓你成為孤兒，會常在你左右。

19 在世的時候不多，一起相處的時間很少，只是你仍會見到我。因我活著，你們也活著。

20 就在那日，就會親眼看到，我與父一起，你也與我一起，我也與你一起。

21 無論誰，守我的吩咐，又諾守著，顯明是愛我的。愛我必蒙我父愛他，我既愛他，必向他顯現。

22 猶大（不是加略人猶大）問耶穌說：主啊，為什麼向我們顯現，不向世人顯現嗎？

23 耶穌回應：人若愛我，會守我的道。見此，我父必愛他，我和父會與他一起安然同住。

24 不愛我的，是不會遵行我說的道。只是要明白，你所聽見的道，不是我自己創的，是那差我來的，是父的道。

25 我襯仍舊能與你們一起的時候，將這些事都說得明白。

這段經文在AFV版本有誤差，改用了ESV版本

這段描述，是很好的邏輯應用的了解和學習：

1. 它在解答一個常會提及的心理疑慮：什麼都以求，又必得著？答案是，但，有前題要滿足，這前題是信，又行在神的吩咐當中。

2. 這祈求有一過程，a.若以耶穌的名去求，回報是這事成就了，榮耀歸神，不歸人。b.若以神的名求，那成就的事，是因為藉耶穌而得。

3. 這祈求必會得著，是按神藉耶穌所囑咐，又再傳給世人。意思是當中行為見證的基礎，是在耶穌展示或所說的道，是光明的，有燈這樣的作用的，就必然得著。只是這種得著不是用金錢或名譽或權力作為回報，而是更多曉得神的愛，又更多可以應用的能力。

4. 當應用這份愛之力，你與耶穌跟神一起，永不孤單，不是一個人走人生窄路，是有他們二位老人家，與你一起，伴你走這人生路，寬快而不留遺憾。
