39. And Mary rose up in those days and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah,

40. And entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth.

41. Now it came to pass that when Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit,

42. And she cried out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.

43. But why is this happening to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44. For behold, as soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the babe in my womb leaped in exultation.

45. And blessed is she who has believed, for there shall be a fulfillment of the things spoken to her from the Lord.”

46. Then Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord,

47. And my spirit has exulted in God my Savior;

48. For He has looked upon the humble estate of His handmaid; for behold, from this time forward all generations shall count me blessed,

49. Because the Mighty One has done great things to me, and holy is His name;

50. And His mercy is toward those who fear Him, from generation to generation.

51. He has worked strength with His arm; He has scattered the haughty in the imagination of their hearts.

52. He has put down rulers from thrones, and has exalted the lowly.

53. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty.

54. He has helped His servant Israel, in remembering His mercy,

55. Exactly as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed forever.”

56. And Mary dwelt with her about three months, and returned to her house. (A Faithful Version)

39. 馬利亞這些日子都因懷孕常有躺臥，有日忽然驟起，出門經過山城，來到猶大人居住的城。(*)

40. 進撒迦利亞的家，向伊莉莎白問安。

41. 伊莉莎白聽到馬利亞的問安，腹中的胎兒就跳動起來，伊莉莎白本人也被聖靈充滿。

42. 不自主的喊說：婦女當中，你是有福的，這福是因著所懷的胎而來。

43. 我主的母親，為何妳一到來，就有這樣的事發生？

44. 事關你開口問安的聲音一入耳，我腹裡的胎兒就歡喜地跳躍。

45. 這是妳相信而來的福，應驗了主所說的話。

46. 馬利亞直言：我心尊主為大

47. 我靈以神我的救主為樂，

48. 因為祂顧念使女的卑微，從今以後，萬代稱我有福，

49. 那全能者為我行了大事，祂的名為聖。

50. 向敬畏祂的人發慈愛，直到世世代代。

51. 用膀臂施展大能，將心存狂傲虛妄的人驅散。

52. 叫有權柄的失位，讓卑微的升高。

53. 叫飢餓的飽嘗美食，叫富足的空手而去。

54. 扶助事奉祂的以色列，叫他們知道祂的慈愛，

55. 就是從起初對先祖，亞伯拉罕和他的後裔，那份超越時空的應許。

56. 馬利亞和伊莉莎白同住了約三個月，才回家。

(*)這裡有一處不可以直譯的詞，就是39節：馬利亞起身。這處 起身 一詞在原文是有從躺臥中起來這樣的動作。按經文的上下理了解，上是懷了孕，下是因為懷孕的緣故躺下休息的意思。

這段描述二位身負改變以色列人，能夠擺脫人間惡夢纏身的安排，是因為她們願意，她們願意是因為相信神的一切安排。

馬利亞的頌詞是因為她明白神的用意。她的智啟是因為感悟還是啟示就不得而知。

導致這事發生的二位婦女都是猶太人，一世是祭司的太太，一位是這太太的親屬，為什麼這無權無勢的，更願意相信神，就讓馬利亞，明白神的安排，是一個人，也能影響極個世界，是在不顯山不露水之下，默然改變這世界的人為生存的方式，用馬利亞的說法：叫有權柄的失位，讓卑微的升高。

這是一篇對神心意的宣言，透過她這位甘願被揀選的人身上，將神的計畫展示出來，讓人讀到是明白過來。

這頌詞想表達的意思：

神顧念人，特別是相信神的，人須卑微(當時的婦女就是這樣的處境)，卻能藉自己的相信，藉耶穌這聖名，為她行了大事 (將耶穌帶到人間) ，向敬畏神的人，給予神的慈愛，讓被人輕視的屈辱擦洗的乾乾淨淨。對於被人看不起，神會藉你展示出來的大能，將那些心驕氣傲的人那份不屑的眼光拿掉。讓生活原本是不足的能改變這來，豐衣足食，讓那因富而驕自以為大的，變得一無所有。

以色列人呀！今日光景不妙，只是神的慈愛並沒有離去，神仍舊守住對我們先祖的承諾，直日日落的那天。

這是一啟示文，由被社會看成是卑微的婦女，由她們的相信，甘願的付出，不去質疑那結果，如此這般的放下，就能成全了神的心意：人人活在祝福當中。
