35. Let your loins be girded about and your lamps burning,

36. And you yourselves be like men who are waiting for their lord, whenever he shall return from the wedding feast; so that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.

37. Blessed are those servants whom the lord, when he comes, shall find watching. Truly I say to you, he will gird himself, and will make them sit down, and will come and serve them.

38. And if he comes in the second watch, or comes in the third watch, and finds them watching, blessed are those servants.

39. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

40. Now you, therefore, be ready; for the Son of man is coming in an hour that you do not think.”

41. Then Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You speaking this parable to us only, or also to all?”

42. And the Lord said, “Who then is the wise and faithful steward, whom the lord shall put in charge of his household, to give to each one the portion of food in season?

43. Blessed is that servant whom the lord, when he comes, shall find so doing.

44. Of a truth, I tell you, he will set him over all his possessions.

45. But if that servant shall say in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to be gluttonous and become drunk,

46. The lord of that servant will come in a day that he does not expect, and in an hour that he does not know, and will cut him asunder, and will appoint his portion with the unbelievers.

47. And that servant who knew the will of his lord, but did not prepare, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;

48. But the one who did not know, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For to whomever much has been given, from him shall much be required; and to whom much has been committed, from him they will demand the more.

35. 耶穌對使徒續說:當燈被點燃的時候,要把腰間的束帶索緊。

36. 自己像等候,因不知主人何時從婚筵歸來。一聽到門被敲响,便會立刻反應去開門那樣。

37. 主人回來,見僕人早有準備,他是有福。原因是,這人一直束腰待侍,準備一旦進來立即伺候。

38. 無論是二更天,或是三更天,主人進來感到這早有準備的態度,這僕人有福了。

39. 要知道,屋主若預知有賊會來光顧,必會早作準備,不容作賊的有機可乘。

40. 你們現在就要作好萬一,預備人子在不經意的時候到來。

41. 彼得帶關心的說:主啊,這比喻單對我們說,還是也包括其他人?

42. 主回應:誰有這等智慧又是忠心去作管家的,主人讓他作管家,於合適的時份分合適的糧。

43. 若這僕人如此行,他就有福了。

44. 我是的說真,這人會被指派去全權負責管理。

45. 倘若這被派作管理的,心想:主人沒有這麼早回,就奴役手下的男女僕,自己倒是飲飽食醉。

46. 就在某一天,某個時辰主人回來,他就被斬成二段,歸不信的同樣處理。

47. 若知道主人的心意,疏於預備,或按己意行之,就必多受仗責。

48. 若有不明白的如何,這人做了當受責罰的事,會少受責罰。若是自己想要的多,就讓其多付出去獲得。若是能交託,就多給這人所想所求。

耶穌說完人是光,作為有光之人該如何活出這光?光是很難被收藏,它有就有沒有是因為被某個緣由給遮蔽。如果這人有光或者願意做光,就要有所準備 (v.35),因為從相信那日起,這人成為了光,這光放在人前,直至基督再來是個漫長的歲月,之所以漫長是因為人有生之年作為計算,相信的人就在這個人生歲月作燈,在檯上成了明光照耀,他就要作她準備,如為燈光添油加火之類的事。

只是人不曉得基督何時重臨,在這段走了,未回來日子,相信的人在這時差當中有個身份,是代表那位生命之主仍在世的管家。保羅的說法是,這位管家成了在世的一台戲 (林前4:9)給人體會。在39節,耶穌將僕人轉成了管家的身份。這不單是個人的信仰表白,更是有份其彌賽亞國度中,有管家這樣的職份。這職份不是一份工,它屬天,有份權柄隨著,可以按己意,按時需分糧給有關人等 (V.42)。

是否所有相信的人都能承擔或價得分配,顯然不是 (v.42-43),是有分別。這分別在於相信的人他的選擇,懂得去選,視乎這人是否有屬天的智慧,又要看是否願意,有心去履行出來,懂得作出堅定決定的人,才有這份福氣。

什麼福氣?全權負責 (v.44)。是其他人的事都可以管?不是,是自己的一生,該朝那個方向,該做到那種程度,該發脾氣還是該用愛包容,這一切都隨你的心意。只是有一個附帶的條件,條件如下:

有不同程度的處理的態度和方式:

1.倘若這被派作管理的,心想:主人沒有這麼早回,就奴役跟著事奉的男男女女,自己倒是飲飽食醉。就在某一天,某個時辰主人回來,他就被斬成二段,歸不信的同樣處理。(v.45-46) 。

2.若知道主人的心意,疏於預備,或按己意行之,就必多受仗責 (v.47)。

3.若有不明白的如何去行出來的。這人做了當受責罰的事,會少受責罰。若是自己想要的多,就讓其多付出去獲得。若是能交託,就多給這人所想所求 (v.48)。

路加給提阿非羅一個全新的觀念:公平是如何顯明出來,是按這人的心放在什麼地方。放在天上,就是那個在地的彌賽亞國度的人,心在那財富就在那,不是均干,為什麼你有我沒有。

這段的重點在於人相信的程度而定。自己相信,卻用世間辦事方式,爭取了一個位置,就是長官,用屬世的長官態度作威作福的,相信猶如未信,就跟不信的處理,比不信的死得悽慘。有相信,只是不進深去多點認識,得過且過,不是沒有能力而是疏忽,以待閒視之,就會犯錯,那是自取當然後果自付。

有另一類是相信了,只因成長背景不一樣,能力受各種因素局限,表達出來的能力有別,他想做得好,卻不知為何總會犯錯,這人比先前犯錯的人是有意疏忽的,神會在旁給他支援,苦就少些。有人用自己的方式,似雅各喜歡與神角力,這人付出多收獲多,像今日的以色列。有人一直全心交託,這人無論是犯錯,或者用己意行事,都會得著滿意的結果。

當提阿非羅了解彌賽亞國度當中,相信的人原來有這等區別,不是神安排,而是人成長時的局限,不是這人的罪,是社會的環境,神不會不理會這等環境因素。而是人運用了自己的選擇之後,能否真的改過來決定。改過,是過程,就看這人如何面對。提阿非羅不傻,自會有他的選擇。
