1. Now it came to pass, when He went into a house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching Him.
2. And behold, there was a certain man who had dropsy standing in front of Him.
3. Then Jesus answered and spoke to the doctors of the law and to the Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
4. But they were silent. And after taking hold of him, He healed him and then let him go.
5. And He answered and said to them, “Who among you shall have a donkey or an ox fall into a pit, and will not immediately pull it out on the Sabbath day?”
6. But again, they were not able to answer Him concerning these things.
7. Then, observing how those who were invited were choosing out the chief places, He spoke a parable to them, saying,
8. “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit in the chief place, lest someone more honorable than you has been invited by him.
9. For the one who invited you and him shall come to you and say, ‘Give place to this one,’ and then shall you begin with shame to take the last place.
10. But when you are invited, go and sit down in the last place, so that when the one who invited you comes, he may say to you, ‘Friend, come up higher.’ Then shall you have honor in the presence of those who are sitting at the table with you.
11. For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and the one who humbles himself shall be exalted.”
12. And He also said to him who had invited Him, “When you make a dinner or supper, do not call your friends, nor your brethren, nor your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and a recompense be made to you.
13. But when you make a feast, call the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind;
14. And you shall be blessed, for they do not have the means to repay you. But you shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.” (A Faithful Version)
1. 在安息日這天,耶穌受邀到一法利賽人的領導家裡聚餐,用意是窺探。
2. 他們安排了一位腳部浮腫的人在前面迎接。
3. 耶穌見此,便對文士和法利賽人說:安息日治病,法例是否容許?
4. 這人沒有回應。耶穌上前捉緊這人,等浮腫退了後,讓他離去。
5. 耶穌就此對這些人說:你們當中,擁有驢或牛,不慎在安息日掉坑,不會立時拉上來?
6. 他們沒有回應,因為答不上來。
7. 耶穌在這個時候,看到有客人自選首席上坐下,就用比喻說:
8. 若人被邀約赴婚宴,是不會自選在首席上坐下,恐怕這席是主人家安排給比你更為尊貴的人。
9. 到時這家主不錯有邀請你,也同時邀請了他,這時對你說:勞煩你起來。你就無地自容退去末席。
10. 你被邀請,在不清楚時,自選末席座上,直至邀請的人到來說:不好意思,請到上席來坐。這樣,在同席的人面前,就光彩多。
11. 因為,凡自高的,必降為卑。自卑的,必升為高。
12. 耶穌此時對邀請的人說:若請人去赴約晚飯或者宴會,不要去邀約朋友、弟兄、親屬,及富足的鄰舍等關係的人,因為這些人有能力去回報你。
13. 你請客,就請那貧窮的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的。
14. 因這些人無力回報,你就有福了。你會得到補償,就在復活那日為神所認許。
耶穌似乎在說信仰不同拉關係,是給有真正需要的人。
這是個什麼觀念?有錢去交際應酬那是人人會做的事,信仰是將你有的去幫助沒有的、殘缺的、行差踏錯的和看不清真相的。那些有錢有能力可以自理的,這些人可以在任何時候去回報你,行這些人人都懂。只有扶助那些個人在心志上、能力上。行為有所偏差的人身上,你也許今世無法得到回報,卻是在日後見主面時,這一切付出,都會得到保償。
這樣的描述與做好心和跟施憐憫一樣?與行公義為正義出頭同一般?
從外顯的行為觀察,都是同一件事:助人、伸張正義。就如做好心,對象是應一時之需,受助的人,自己有能力處理,只是一時不便,像是請食飯那種。他同時是與你有朋友之誼,血脈相關的人。當然有一種是你不認識的,那叫施捨或者佈施之人,應一時之急而為之。那是好心去做好事。
在13-14節說的那種,是較為特殊的。那貧窮的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的。是可以從表面的現象去理解,直指身體的殘缺,如果是這樣,那種行為的形害可以用憐憫這詞。信仰不只是從表面事物去理解,因為耶穌一直在用比喻,就算是神蹟,它原有所指,是借一種可見的現象引入更深層的含義,例如這處說的現象,是可以直指心靈意志的軟弱。
如果認許這樣的表達,那麼信仰就有一層更深的意義,去幫助人心靈的軟弱上。
從這個角度看,就明白約翰用光的比喻去描述基督來到人間那種意像的含義,什麼是黑暗及光明的表達,又明白啟示錄當中那些意像的表達當中的真正意義。也就能明白在舊約中的詩歌和文學上的形容而不至於走火入魔。又如魔不是鬼,一個指的是心思,一個指的在靈界飄浮的物事,鬼從來都是只有嚇人的成份,不傷害人。而人在被嚇怕時,自己傷害自己。在信的人不會怕鬼。
因此從上述對比喻的意義的理解,那貧窮的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的意義是表述心靈的狀態,這種幫助不是物質可以回報。因為帶來的轉變,是人生命的改變,軟弱的成為剛強,遲鈍的成了靈巧,心歪的轉為純良,從這些改變,就明白神的心意是何等美善,因為改變不是局部是全人的改善。最後在神那裡得當得的回報。
提阿非羅在官場打滾了這麼多年,人間世種種為自存而付出的方式,無不知曉,至於如何決定,只有他自己可以作出。並沒有記載。
