28. And as they approached the village where they were going, He appeared to be going on farther.

29. But they constrained Him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is declining.” And He entered in as if to stay with them.

30. And it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it; and after breaking it, He gave it to them.

31. Then their eyes were opened, and they knew Him; and He disappeared from them.

32. And they said to one another, “Did not our hearts burn within us as He was speaking to us on the road, while He was opening the Scriptures to us?”

33. And they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem; and they found the eleven and those with them assembled together,

34. Saying, “In truth, the Lord has risen! And He has appeared to Simon.”

35. Then they related the things that had happened to them on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of the bread. (A Faithful Version)

28. 一邊論道一邊趕路,不覺間村子就在前面。耶穌似乎要往更遠的地方去。

29. 便提出挽留,說:夕陽西下,傍晚將近,不如留下來與我們一起。就答應留下來。

30. 不久,耶穌和他們同坐用膳,並拿起餅,祝謝,擘開後遞給他們。

31. 就是這時候,二人的眼睛回復正常,認出是耶穌。耶穌也在這時間消失在他們眼前。

32. 於是彼此在驚訝:在路上和我們論道,給我們講解時,心裡頭不就是感到有團火在燒嗎?

33. 就顧不得什麼,立馬起程,回耶路撒冷去。途中遇到先前那十一位跟隨者和一眾人等。

34. 對這一眾人等說:真的,主實在復活了!西門都親眼看到了。

35. 於是,把路上所遇見的事,如何在擘餅時,就認出來的過程,述說了一遍。

路加這段描述是二位使徒與復活後的耶穌相遇,其中一位是西門彼得。也許就是去堅固彼得三次不認主後那份沮喪竹的心情 17節:你們一直在談論的是什麼,怎會是面容沮喪?

對彼得而言,這是個寶貴的又能重新得力的經驗:耶穌的真實戰勝了人性的軟弱。

對彼得而言,就算看不到耶穌,一聽都能認出來。只因為耶穌的離去,那份心情很難一時平復。耶穌當時看到的他,是一臉沮喪失落。這樣的心情阻礙了識別的能力。什麼時候,回復過來?

與耶穌一同坐席用膳,耶穌將最後的一頓晚飯,那特別的方式,再次呈現在面前的時候,眼睛開了。這是文學的藻詞或是真實的現況?相信是二者同時存在。

重遇耶穌,就像是離開的小兒子,在人生看似是盡頭的日子,在一剎那間的心靈中,重現耶穌,祂的話祂的溫情重現,恢愎昔日那份投入的心情,就明白信心只是一時被感性蒙敝。

提阿非羅久經人世,信心有過不少,上上落落的經驗,這份經驗的描述當然十分明白。只是,有不少的人在情緒失調,眼目被蒙的時候,也許一世都不復醒來。只有人,真的相信,像彼得,多次不認主,那只是人生的一種際遇,礙於形勢,不認主,有什麼大不了?有許多人,把信了的人,當聖人要求。不去要求自己,卻用以要求別人,這才是怪事。耶穌沒有把人當成聖人,相信的人都是有血有肉的,會不時犯錯的,卻是心中維繫著耶穌的言行。人不理解不重要,耶穌的愛從來不曾離開過。提阿非羅,你要明白,不就是改過有什麼大不了?
