1. Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came to Him, tempting Him and asking Him to show them a sign from heaven.

2. But He answered and said to them, “When evening has come, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’

3. And in the morning, you say, ‘Today it will storm, for the sky is red and lowering.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.

4. A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah the prophet.” Then He left them and went away.

5. Now when His disciples came to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

6. And Jesus said to them, “Watch out, and be on guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

7. Then they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we did not take bread.”

8. But when Jesus knew this, He said to them, “O you of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves that it is because you did not bring bread?

9. Do you still not understand? Do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

10. Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

11. How is it that you do not understand that I was not speaking of bread when I told you to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?”

12. Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

1. 法利賽人和撒都該人來見探耶穌，用試探的方式提問要求顯出神蹟。

2. 耶穌回應：明確是晚霞時分，你們卻說這發紅的天色，代表明日天氣放晴。

3. 可是到了早晨，見今日天色發紅，就說天氣不好。不就是偽善的表現！你們知道分辨天氣好壞，卻無法分辨有特別意義的徵兆。

4. 你們這身染病患，不明耶和華心意的，要看神蹟，除了先知約拿的奇事，就沒有奇事神蹟可看。說完，便離開。

5. 使徒離開這群人時，忘了帶餅。

6. 耶穌便說：要謹慎，防備法利賽人和撒都該人的酵。

7. 使徒就彼此議論：是指我們沒有帶餅？

8. 當耶穌聽到，便回應：你們的信心那麼少？為何會認為是跟沒帶餅有關？

9. 似乎仍舊不明。可以回想那五個餅分給五千人的事？當時收拾了多少大籃子？

10. 有七塊餅分給四千人，你們收拾了多少細籃子？

11. 怎麼都不明白？我說提防法利賽人和撒都該人的酵，不是說做餅的事。

12. 使徒才明白，耶穌不是說提防做餅的酵，是提防法利賽人和撒都該人說的話。

這段馬太記述有些不大清楚的地方，當然是指今日去理解，在當時相信大家都明白。不明白的有二處：1.  耶穌當時在那？2. 五千人同四千人事件發生在同一地方？

第一點：法利賽人和撒都該人的出現在什麼地方？

按15章，耶穌和眾使徒從加利利海乖船駛向抹大拉，似乎是回到拿撒勒，就是不受家鄉人歡迎的地方。當時在信仰上有接觸的，是祭司、文士、法利賽和撒都該等人，都不歡迎耶穌。也過了一段不長的日子，有可能是耶穌進會堂時，在那處的法利賽人和撒都該人上前來試探，相信事情不會在街上碰面發生。

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-0xeF3HZQg  會堂的安排有開放平等交通，若移開坐位，就是當日羅馬議會圍坐辨論的場景。不同於華人的安排，這是觀念的不同產生。

第二點：這處有二處分餅的記載，只是分餅的人數和收到的籃子有不同描述。

對我而言這分別不是重點，不妨礙我的相信，重要是這記載的重點在什麼地方。這段的重點在：酵的理解。

使徒為何有這樣的理解？這是使徒一直用真觀而不明白這是用事實作比喻。馬太似乎是用這家書補充說明耶穌行事當中，蘊藏了比喻，就是言中有物，才是神蹟奇事 (sign) 真實意圖。

可惜的是，當日的人不明，今日的人也不明。似乎馬太的心意，從那時到今日仍有許多不明。似乎在今日也是可以應用，也很貼切現實[AL1] 。不同於華人的安排，這是觀念的不同產生。
