29. But immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

30. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet; and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32. Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branches have already become tender, and it puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.

33. In like manner also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34. Truly I say to you, this generation shall in no wise pass away until all these things have taken place.

35. The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My words shall never pass away.

29. 苦難的日子一旦停止，天空中的太陽就變暗，月亮無光，眾星墜落，整個天地都被搖動。

30. 人子出現的徵兆會在天邊顯現。地上萬族見此，都搥胸頓足，只因看到人子，在天上駕著雲彩，伴隨藉極大的權能和榮耀，降臨。

31. 有使者差遣到來，有極大的聲響，像喇叭般伴隨。與大群被揀選的，從天的四方擁來，聚在一起。

32. 這現象就似無花果樹的比喻：當枝條標出嫩芽，葉子生出的時候，便曉得夏天到來。

33.以此去理解，當你看到這一切事發生的時候，就明白日子近了，甚至就在門前發生。

34. 說實話，這世代絕不會因此完完結，除非上述的一切都完全付之實現。

35. 天地會廢去，我的話不會。

這是一段很嚴肅的表述，說將來人世間終極的現象：一切深信神的人都不再存在於世上，那麼世界就沒有存留的必要。

這說話是對應舊約挪亞方舟而言。

當時的挪亞年代的世界，是個怎樣的世界？只有一位好人及他的家人 (這說法是有男性為主的社會觀而來，在耶和華眼中相信沒有這樣的分別，男女是共容互助是本來的意思)，不為社會的文化和生活方式支配，仍舊依循耶和華創造時，讓人是世界的中心，安然卻可以無限去發掘人生樂趣的地方。而不會樂意見人與人之間只因貪婪，不擇手段，彼此殺戮。因為當中仍有挪亞的存在，世界不滅。

上述相信是一個原則，只要有一人，存留於亂世而不倒，是因為仍舊相信，這世界必不被消滅 (v.34) ，這個一切，指的就是v.28 說世界只剩禿鷹的時候，說的就是連一個好人都存在。有一位像挪亞的，這世界都不會用任何形式去消滅，有彩虹為記，連彩虹都沒有了，世界若是存留，那麼依舊是傷傷修殺殺殺，對耶和華而言，人既然不以為人，成為他人生的目的，作見證，證明人與人之間的互助互動，是人間存在的真義。當人不以此為其存在的榮耀，而是私慾在無限中擴張，以人代耶和華，說明什麼？

耶和華造人，我滅人。這種心態對誰都沒有好處，似乎在什麼都沒有意義，只有私慾在澎漲，世界存在當中的真善美都消失的時候，不再存留，是合理的結局。

這結局對人而言，特別是依循耶和華心意而活的，以上說的一切，是預言。它不是事實的全部，而是這事實有改變的可能。這個可能就在相信的人，就算只有一位，世界仍舊不滅，似乎就是這段文字要表達的心意。

世界滅與不滅，在乎一個人，不是一群人。作見證的重要就在此，一個人影響另一個人。這方式人認為笨，卻是信仰的基本：挪亞事件說得非常清楚。這話不會被廢去，是個不變的承諾。
