耶和華的事,私用沒有版權
1. Now the serpent was more cunning than any creature of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Is it true that God has said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?’ ”
2. And the woman said to the serpent, “We may freely eat the fruit of the trees of the garden,
3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ”
4. And the serpent said to the woman, “In dying, you shall not surely die!
5. For God knows that in the day you eat of it, then your eyes shall be opened, and you shall be like God, deciding good and evil.
6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasing to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
7. And the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8. And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day. Then Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
9. And the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”
10. And he said, “I heard You walking in the garden, and I was afraid because I am naked, and so I hid myself.”
11. And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
12. And the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
13. And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
1. 耶和華造的各種活物當中,蛇比其他狡猾。蛇對女人說:真的說,不可吃園中這樹上的果子?
2. 女人說:園中樹上的果子,可以吃。
3. 園中間有一棵樹上的果子,曾說:不可吃,嘗試都不可,會導致死亡。
4. 蛇這樣回應:會死,那倒不一定。
5. 因為祂曉得,人若吃了,眼界會大開,像祂一樣,懂得明辨好壞。
6. 女人觀察這樹,悅人眼目,果子也可作食物,心大喜。對果子能產生明智理解的能力甚為吸引,自己吃了,給丈夫,也吃了。
7. 他們兩人的智慧大開,才發覺自己赤身露體,於是拿葉子,為自己編織圍帶。
8. 當日就起了涼風,同時聽到耶和華的腳步聲。男的和女的,在園中找個地方隱藏起來。
9. 耶和華稱男的為亞當,發問:你在哪裡?
10. 這位亞當回應:聽見你的腳步聲,因為赤裸,有感害羞,就躲起來。
11. 祂問:誰告知你是裸露?你是吃了我吩咐過,不可吃的那棵樹上的果子。
12. 亞當說:是你賜給我、與我一起的女人,她給我,就吃了。
13. 耶和華問女人:你做過什麼?女人回說:被蛇欺騙,就吃了。
這個描述是五經作者摩西覆述,他有這個資格,是因為與耶和華有過真實接觸的體會。正因如此,寫出五經,內容的可信度高。這五經是在有文字出現以覆述形式記錄下來。埃及的文明,在那個時期的文明,今日仍有許多不解之處,例如金字塔的結構。文字有著諸多的功能,相信比今日也不遜色。
摩西有沒有親自描述創世的過程,不清楚。詳細到什麼程度不曉得,相信他的研究,離事實更近。摩西在此描述的,殊不簡單,他在描述一個人性。人,遇事,被追問時,這是一般會有的反應,反映出當事人真實的心理,是一種條件反射的回覆:推卸責任。
當創造者問亞當,他是世界第一人,怎知自己赤裸裸?這現象只有一個可能,食了 [那果] , 它不是禁果,是可以食,但有後果。這種安排有何作用?事後去看,當時創造者不禁止,卻說了後果,而且安置在當眼的地方,是試探或是試練?也許有更深一層的用心:一種意志力的磨練。
亞當當時直認不諱,後果是世界產生另一種發展的格局。
亞當在那個時候,直接回應,是正常不過的事。他的回覆是正確。那女人的回覆也是正確。不對的地方在於沒有去作出自己該有的承擔,把責任推卸。
亞當辨說,這事發生是因為你為我造的配偶,才有這事發生。而那女人說是自己受騙。只是,蛇說的是事實,如何構成欺騙?他倆都為自己做的事,推諉他人。自己似乎沒有責任,這才是問題所在。
蛇是什麼角式?
摩西描述的蛇,是真實的。只是在表達上,當時的文學發展似乎不比今日差。蛇的特性就有靈活的一面。有用蛇去形容人陰險:蛇蠍心腸、蛇頭鼠眼之類的代名詞。古埃及的文明不容否定。馬太福音就有許多對比喻的解釋。
蛇的靈活,是形容人心中對事物的好奇產生和反應。這是人性當中不可或缺的好奇心所致,那是內心思維前進的動力。這種思維有善的一面,也有不善的一面。這種心思意念若付之行動,就看隨那個方向發展而定。牠在此形是形容詞,假借來解釋人心思的靈敏,用在為自己的過失辨護,不是實物。
為此,下一段創造者耶和華在這人間第一個人犯第一件錯事,不肯承擔自己該有的山責任,作出了判決。耶和華是從人的思維,想為自己脫去責任。它是人心思意念作出,看到人若能如耶和華般的能力,耶是何等吸引,想成為 [神],這想法有歷史證明,而人也在這想法中,為禍了整個世界:有權就想當王。要判決,就從有這想法開始。那是因為沒有這想法就不會有後續犯錯的出現,先審判這 [蛇],是合理的第一步。
