21. And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah.
22. And Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he begat Methuselah. And he begat sons and daughters.
23. And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24. And Enoch walked with God, and then he was not, for God took him.
25. And Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years and begat Lamech.
26. And after he begat Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years. And he begat sons and daughters.
27. And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years. And he died.
28. And Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years and begat a son.
29. And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one shall comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.”
30. And after he begat Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years. And he begat sons and daughters.
31. And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years. And he died.
32. And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
21. 以諾活到六十五歲,生了瑪土撒拉。
22. 以諾生瑪土撒拉後,與神同行三百年,並且生兒育女。

在這章暗示了一場聯合回歸同一信仰的婚姻,是這位從雅列生以諾,對照該隱與誰生下的以諾,可以說二處記述的以諾是同一位。二章的記述中作為推測的依據。理由如此:
第4章記該隱的子孫,是從以諾:- 18 Irad begat Mehujael, Mehujael begat Methusael, Methusael begat Lamech. 以拉得生米戶雅利,米戶雅利生瑪土撒利,瑪土撒利生拉麥。
第五章記亞當的子孫 (不從該隱亞伯) ,是從塞特:- 18. Jared begat Enoch, 22. Enoch begat Methuselah. 25. And Methuselah begat Lamech. 18. 雅列生以諾, 22. 以諾生瑪土撒拉, 另25. 瑪土撒拉生拉麥。
推測的情況的發展:該隱不知何年何月,娶了直系親屬,那位稱為雅利的為妻,生下了以諾。另一面亞當與夏姪生了塞特,過了這多年日,雅列生了以諾。這個可能性可以出現嗎?可以,因為那時的人很長壽,便提供了可以發生的可能,機率很高。
比對這二個名字的分別,4章的Methusael及5章Methuselah那是很有意思,這名字也許是同一個人。差別在於有比喻的成份 (from AI) :

這二代回歸,因相信又願自控的想法,在同一個先祖卻相隔了許多代 (這段解釋有人稱之為亂倫,這個標準是後世才出現,用來應用這段經文上,似乎不適合,因為解釋當時創造一男一女是婚姻關係,婚姻觀是後來的事,按創造者的意思是人不完全,有一位不同的,能作出幫助,不單在情感上,也在生活的創。
拉麥生了一兒子,挪亞。v.29 兒子起名叫挪亞,因他是安慰,從手作的勞苦當中釋放出來,只因這地曾被咒詛。
上述這句:從手作為生,在其中釋放出來,當中隱含的意思是何身等巨大?那種靠手中勞苦才得糊口的日子過去了。什麼意思? 不就是人的思維被解放出來,那是亞當夏娃跟該隱和塞特,這是經過許多年日中呈現出信仰對他們正面的影響,由離開到回歸,是自我的操控得宜,這是耶和華真正的形象,當人懂得如何處理,便離開了用手作為生這一個方式,有另種方式,就是動腦子的方式,成為謀生的另一種方式。不就是今日社會的二條謀生出路:科研和法治,當中的經濟理論,有二者參與其中,都是後來洐生出來的事。
用信心去生活,那是長壽的根本。這根本不單是信心一環,還有自控,意思是人可以有血氣的一面,也有理智的一面,它們不是二面是一面,在於人有選擇,也可以將二者併用,例如策略對應,二者取其一只是其中一種方式。
只有人認為自己似神,或想自己就有神的本事,才不理會須要自控,放縱自己的情慾,這種放縱當然滲有理性基礎。
亞當與該隱,在子孫再次在信仰的復和,立定了挪亞的信仰,在世界上的重要。 拉麥生挪亞,挪亞生了閃、含、雅弗。 這一家人示範了耶和華對人的期待和承諾
