14. Make an ark of cypress timbers. You shall make rooms in the ark, and you shall pitch it inside and outside with pitch.

15. And this is the way you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it shall be fifty cubits and its height thirty cubits.

16. You shall make a window in the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and you shall set the door of the ark in the side of it. You shall make it with lower, second and third stories.

17. And behold, I, even I am bringing a flood of waters upon the earth in order to destroy all flesh—in which is the breath of life—from under heaven. Everything which is upon the earth shall die.

18. But I will establish My covenant with you. And you shall come into the ark—you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

19. And you shall bring into the ark two of every kind, of every living thing of all flesh, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.

20. Two of every kind shall come to you to keep them alive—of fowls after their kind, and of animals after their kind, of every crawling thing of the earth after its kind.

21. And take for yourself all that is eaten as food, and you shall gather it for yourself; and it shall be for food, for you and for them.”

14. 耶和華吩咐用柏樹造方舟。方舟裡要間巣或房間，方舟內外塗上物料。

15. 方舟的造形是這樣的：長三百肘，寬五十肘，高三十肘。(137 x 23 x 14 meters)

17. 人，不久會看到，這遍土地迎來大洪荒，活物被摧毀，有氣息的，將要滅亡。

18. 耶和華我與你挪亞立約。你家人要進入方舟，包括你、兒子、妻子及媳婦等人。

19. 要帶各樣活物，是一對對，即一公一母，進入方舟，以至能得以保存。

20. 各種活物是一對，各類飛鳥各一對，不同牲畜各一對，各類走獸，陸地爬行類又各一對，各種昆蟲又各一對，全都進入方舟，這樣不同的生命都得以保存。

21. 能吃的，都帶上方舟，積存起來，好作自己和各種活物的食糧。

22. 挪亞照著這囑咐，盡力以赴。

造方舟這事，相信在那個時代，須窮一生之力去做的事 (幸好4:19. 拉麥娶了兩位妻子，一叫亞大，一叫洗拉。20. 亞大生雅八，雅八是那些住帳篷，養牲畜為生之人的先祖。21. 雅八的兄弟叫猶八，是彈琴吹笛之人的先祖。22. 至於洗拉，生下土八該隱。土八該隱是青銅和鐵工匠的師祖)。拉麥的後代，是一切應用技術的創始人。在不安定各自為己的世代，人，不單有技術，更要窮一生之力去維護才能得以保存自己的生命。挪亞似乎是用一家人之力去做這件事 (他們可以推定是有知識有技術去應對工程上的須要)，期間，耶和華一直都保守他們平安渡日。這個大工程，耶和華似乎沒有直接參與，智慧和想像都給他們一家充份地發揮。

也許可以抽離一點，方舟就如人的腦袋，只是  size 小得多，當中的空間，稱之為心靈，卻與天地看齊。今日，信眾何嘗不是在末世之初。與挪亞那時期，有相似之處，有天災有人禍，到處在發生，新約描述有類似的末期徵兆。許這是個例子，讓大家明白，在自已的腦袋，努力擴展其空間，去容納各種不同，才不至於失落。它不是叫人過苦日子，是極具挑戰，在末世之時，引發無盡的生機和創意的時候。一切不良的後果，如陰謀鬼計，有耶和華照應。 我信！如果覺得這創世的記載，對你有助理解耶和華如何待人，也請多多分享！
