耶和華的事，不謀利沒有版權

1. After these things the Word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield and your exceedingly great reward.”

2. And Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me since I go childless, and the heir of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?”

3. And Abram said, “Behold, You have given no seed to me; and lo, one born in my house is my heir.”

4. And behold, the Word of the LORD came to him saying, “This man shall not be your heir; but he that shall come forth out of your own loins shall be your heir.”

5. And He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens and number the stars—if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your seed be.”

6. And he believed in the LORD. And He accounted it to him for righteousness.

1. 營救事件告一段落，耶和華對亞伯蘭說出一番出乎意外的說話：你心有疑慮，只是不用懼怕！我是你的盾牌，必會按你心意達成。

2. 亞伯蘭回應說：主耶和華，你賜我什麼都不管用，我無子繼承！現在的繼承家業的人，是大馬士革人以利以謝。

3. 亞伯蘭繼續：我無承繼的後人，我是家中唯一獨子。

4. 耶和華回應：那位不會成你的繼承，只有你所出的，才有資格。

5. 於是到外面，說：你出來看，天上許多星星，數得出的，都是你後代的數目。

6. 亞伯蘭相信耶和華，就為此成了他的義。

摩西這段描述似乎不是一個人內心的獨白。理由是第一句：有翻譯為異象中的說話。這個詞是 H4236 ：vision (in the ecstatic state) 。按文理，是耶和華給亞伯蘭一個承諾，要滿足他內心的渴望著一件事，這件事，耶和華是會給他成就。這是件什麼願望？

亞伯蘭直說，他想有後嗣去承繼產業。

因此，若是用異象一詞，如果不指涉福音，用夢想更為貼切。當時的亞伯蘭沒有更為遠大的福音使命，看來是可以肯定。只是耶和華確實給了一個，連他自己都未曾想過的事：信心之父。他的子孫將是恆河沙數，數不過來。

耶和之所以給他超乎所想的事，是基於一個條件：不疑惑地相信，堅定不移地守住。這個詞是  H6666   prosperity (of people) 用於個人身上，就不是公義，是這個人滿滿的福氣，超乎他所想所求。今日去驗正，如今的以色列民族散佈各地，而且因為亞伯蘭的後代有不少人仍舊在相信，這福氣因耶穌基督再現，也讓非猶太裔人受益，這個根原同出於一。更想不到的是，他的子孫創建了猶太教，伊斯蘭教以及基督教，這三大宗教引伸出來的文明和紛爭，影響全球。他們信仰的世界，三教聖地同在一處，這處卻異常地平靜。
