18. And he came to his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am; who are you, my son?”
19. And Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you asked me. Arise, I pray you, sit and eat of my venison, that your soul may bless me.”
20. And Isaac said to his son, “How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?” And he said, “Because the LORD your God brought it to me.”
21. And Isaac said to Jacob, “Come near, I pray you, so that I may feel you, my son, whether you are truly my son Esau or not.”
22. And Jacob went near to Isaac his father. And he felt him and said, “The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”
23. And he did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like his brother Esau’s hands. And he blessed him.
24. And he said, “Are you truly my son Esau?” And he said, “I am.”
25. And he said, “Bring it to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, so that my soul may bless you.” And he brought it near to him, and he ate. And he brought him wine, and he drank.
26. And his father Isaac said to him, “Come near now and kiss me, my son.”
27. And he came near and kissed him. And he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, “See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed.
28. And may God give you of the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine.
29. Let people serve you, and let nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brethren, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone that curses you, and blessed be he that blesses you.”
18. 雅各拿著佳餚到以撒面前,說:父親!以撒說:我兒,你是誰?
19. 雅各回應:我是以掃,你的長子。我照你吩咐做了。你起來,享用為你預備好的野味,用膳完畢好為我祝福。
20. 以撒帶著疑惑問道:我兒,這回那麼快就找到?雅各回說:是你相信那位耶和華讓我很快找到。
21. 以撒隨即對雅各說:我兒,你近前來,讓我摸摸,看是不是以掃。
22. 雅各就近前來。以撒摸了,就好奇地說:聲音像雅各,手卻是以掃。
23. 以撒沒能分辨出來,是因為手長滿了毛像以掃,便祝福了雅各。
24. 以撒再問:你真是以掃?雅各回答:我是。
25. 以撒就放下心,說:拿備好的給我,吃完為我預備的野味,便可專心為你祝福。雅各把野味拿來,吃了,又拿酒來,喝了。
26. 以撒對雅各說:我兒,過來讓我親親。
27. 雅各就上前親他。以撒聞到他身上衣物的香氣,就放心為他祝福,說:我兒子身上的香氣,有如耶和華賜這土地給我那份福氣。
28. 願耶和華賜給你天上甘露、肥沃土地、廣收五穀和新酒。
29.願萬民事奉你,願列國向你下拜。耶和華使你勝過你雙生的兄弟。凡咒詛你的必受咒詛;凡祝福你的願他蒙福。
摩西記述這事,不作過多的描述,只為留空間給人思考。這述事的過程,當中有許多文字描述,是一種提示。問題是,這事件想說什麼?
在26章有一段記載:34. 當以掃年到四十的時候,娶了赫人比利的女兒,猶滴為妻,再另娶赫人巴實抹的女兒以倫為妻。35. 這兩個女人讓以撒和利百加感到十分擔憂。
當時經文描述以撒和利百加都擔心一件事:以掃娶的是沒有心去承繼,或者選擇憑信心過活,這種生活方式。利百加的擔心的是,她們一家不同於一般沒有信仰,信心不在耶和華,不會為此操心或者擔心的人,若是繼承了這份家業,也許信心一族從此就不再有了。以撒年老,自己都忘了他之前擔心的事,自然而然地依循傳統。
利百加很早就有這個慮,從她這份擔心,看今日這一切手段,似不公平,手段也不光明。這樣的感覺出自傳統的約制,是站在個人道德層面言之不當。只是,那些站在道德層面說話的,從來是抽離自己的責任,不去直接介入,理據總在引述是某某人說的。這樣事不關己,看似中立,卻從來都不負真正的責任。
就以今日香港為例,再看不到公正。一個不公平不公義的社會,在生活層面是怎樣表達? 用黑社會這個詞形容,相信恰當。那是一個人話事,一幫人助紂為虐。他本人就是一切法治的依據,許多人選擇歸邊,是因為油水多又容易滿足不負責任的慾念。香港自1997年漸漸在改變的過程當中,由有秩序公正和諧,到了2006這年,領袖推卸責任,一群抽水的協助亂法亂政,用法治作為整人的手段,淘空儲備是為私利,卻公然說是維護法紀,講虛言比做實事多。
利百加有這份心意是明顯。釋經的人看到她這份心意? 看得書少,暫時未找到。許多學術的著作似乎沒有對利百加有更多的描述,也沒有對愛心比道德或者律法來得重要的論述。這是對事件用另一角度去陳述,歡迎另類看法的分享。
只是,看以撒的祝福內容,它不是分配遺產,而是信心延續的囑咐:28. 願耶和華賜給你天上甘露、肥沃土地、廣收五穀和新酒。29. 願萬民事奉你,願列國向你下拜。耶和華使你勝過你雙生的兄弟。凡咒詛你的必受咒詛;凡祝福你的願他蒙福。
細味這份囑託,它是指個人,若懂的,明白又行出來,是被受耶和華祝福,不論以任何方式生活,沒有資產類的遺產分配。若從遺囑的內容,以撒老而不蒙蔽,他從聲音、體徵以及衣服的氣味,那是三重印證。是人老心未老,他清楚這遺囑的內容是跟耶和華的承傳,有直接的關係。
由此觀之,利百加和雅各,在危急關頭,用人不理解的方式,為的是保存信仰的真實,使應許不落空,是何等的明智,分辨出什麼當行或不當行,即使人都不明白。如果當時有溝通,後果會怎樣?
利百加是不合群,起碼在處理承繼耶和華祝福的事上,不妥協、不避嫌,勇於爭取。你認同就多多分享。
