18. And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brethren who are in Egypt and see if they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

19. And the LORD said to Moses in Midian, “Go! Return to Egypt, for all the men who sought your life are dead.”

20. And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the rod of God in his hand.

21. And the LORD said to Moses, “When you go to return into Egypt, see that you do all those wonders which I have put in your hand before Pharaoh; but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

22. And you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Israel is My son, My firstborn.

23. And I say to you, let My son go that he may serve Me. And if you refuse to let him go, behold, I am going to kill your son, your firstborn.” ’ ”

24. And it came to pass by the way, in the inn, that the LORD met him and sought to kill him.

25. And Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and threw it at his feet, and said, “Surely a bloody husband you are to me.”

26. So He let him go. Then she said, “You are a bloody husband,” because of the circumcision.

27. And the LORD said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses.” And he went and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

28. And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD Who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.

29. And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel.

30. And Aaron spoke all the words which the LORD had spoken to Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

31. And the people believed. And when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that He had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed and worshiped.

18. 摩西別過耶和華，回到他岳父葉特羅家，對他說：我要回去埃及，看我的家人是否仍舊活著。葉忒羅回應：儘管去就是。

19. 此時摩西仍在米甸，自有永有者對他說：是時候回埃及去，那位想除掉你的法老人已經掛了。

20. 於是摩西帶著妻兒，騎上驢，手持耶和華賜的枚回埃及去。

21. 自有永有者對摩西說：你回埃及去，那新法老是位自負超高的人，不會容許我的子民離去。你要在他面前，施行我給你行奇事的手段。

22. 對新任的法老說：自有永有者說，以色列人是屬祂第一胎的子孫。

23. 要讓你曉得，容許屬祂的子孫免除苦役，並得以釋放離去。若然不肯，埃及人頭生的孩子必會遭滅頂之災。

24. 即使這頭生的孩子是在路途當中，或在客店，只要與這位自有永有相遇，必殺無疑。

25. 聽罷，過了一段時日。妻子西坡拉拿一塊鋒利的石，把兒子的包皮割下，拿給摩西，說：這是以你兒子的血，與你立約。

26. 摩西沉默了一會。西坡拉續說：你兒子受了割禮，你就是與我有著以血為盟的丈夫了。

27. 自有永有者又對亞倫說：去曠野與摩西匯合。亞倫就去，到了摩西與那位耶和華相遇那座山，見到了摩西，相互親瞼問候。

28. 摩西把那位自有永有者交帶與他的一席話，有何大能的作為支援都告訴了亞倫。

29. 於是摩西和亞倫去埃及召集以色列人當中的長老說話。

30. 亞倫此時，照著那位自有永有者對摩西吩咐的話，在眾人面前說了。摩西也在眾人面前展示了當行的奇事。

31. 眾長老為此深信不疑。更聽聞是那位自有永有者親來釋放，垂憐所受的苦難，都誠心拜伏，深表謝意。

摩西對自己生平的描述，是作為旁觀者，第三身的手法。

上次記載的談話，相信是心靈對話，因為耶和華是個靈，祂沒有形象，火燒的荊棘，對摩西的好奇就是這火不是真的。人能在心靈中與耶和華對話，外人看來就是自言自語。當事人用文字表達，就是對話的形式。

摩西在此描述對話，用二個不同的詞，一是the LORD現存者 H3068，發音 H136 不知如何發聲。它字義根源是H1961是自有永有的意思。也用了mount of God 就是與耶和華相遇那山。似乎是用以形容二類情況，前者自有永有，用於以色列人，祂是帶領他們出埃及，是他們先祖相信，以及後來跟隨那位；後者是摩西相遇，完成他的心願那位獨一無二者。

摩西行動的第一步，找同路人。先找各族的長老，讓他們看清事實，是有成功的可能，因為有耶和華讓摩西先行，一方面是加增自己的膽量，一方面是說服長老，是一族的領袖，他們都信心十足，才有鼓動人心的實力。

在籌備過程當中，有感而發的有他的妻子西坡拉，她是埃及人的祭司之女，是利未人之後。妻子對立約似乎有認識，明白以色列人要與耶和華立約，男的要受割禮，是認同自己是以色列一族的儀式。可見，這妻子此時在認知上是相信摩西相信的，是他列祖相信的那位耶和華，就立下決心，替兒子很割禮，歸入以色列人一族。

亞倫在摩西與遇到耶和華的山地上匯合，一起去承擔使命，意思就是這倘任務是要一起去完成。亞倫沒有摩西拯救家人這感覺那麼濃烈，他是好事之徒，知道這事是極為有價值好玩的事，是人生難有的機會。他覺得此事刺激不是要承擔使命。那又如何，他相信，沒有更大的領受，也不失為有良知的人，耶和華選中他，因為當時他是最佳人選。

信仰是個人的體會，有地位，有較多人因習慣了權威，是較容易策動。摩西不能，耶和華幫助，爭取到長老的信任，事成功了一半。華人信仰有點不一樣，相信 [神] 會完全為他成就，靜觀神如何作為就是。摩西那時很近耶和華，都要親力親為。事隔了千年，就等於當日的以色列人，這些耶和華的子孫，從未聽過，也不曾見過，只是相信，他們要了解是有位自有永有者，會隨時幫助。若相信有位會隨時給你幫助的，祂，就是耶和華，是你隨時的幫助，可以分享就找抓緊機會。
