10. And the taskmasters of the people and their officers went out. And they spoke to the people, saying, “Thus says Pharaoh, ‘I will not give you straw.

11. Go and get straw where you can find it, yet not any of your work shall be reduced.’”

12. So the people were scattered through all the land of Egypt, to gather stubble for straw.

13. And the taskmasters hurried them, saying, “Finish your works, your daily tasks, just as when there was straw.”

14. And also the overseers of the children of Israel, whom Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten. And they demanded, “Why have you not completed your task in making brick, both yesterday and today, as you did before?”

15. And the overseers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, “Why do you deal so with your servants?

16. There is no straw given to your servants, and they say to us, ‘Make bricks!’ And behold, your servants are beaten, but the fault is in your own people.”

17. But he said, “You are idle! You are idle! Therefore you say, ‘Let us go, let us sacrifice to the LORD.’

18. Therefore go now and work, for there shall be no straw given to you; yet you shall deliver the same number of bricks.”

19. And the overseers of the children of Israel saw themselves in affliction, after it was said, “You shall not reduce any bricks from your daily number.”

20. And they met Moses and Aaron standing in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh.

21. And they said to them, “The LORD look upon you and judge because you have made us offensive in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hands to kill us.”

22. And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, “LORD, why have You treated this people ill? Why then have you sent me?

23. For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people. Neither have You delivered Your people at all.”

10. 眾督工和執行人員接過指令，回去對那自有永有的子民說：法老的指令叫不再提供建築材料。

11. 你們要自行處理，產量不可少。

12. 這些子民為此自行處理物料事宜，包括收集、保存及運送。

13. 督工每日都來催促，要他們完成當日的規定數目，數量與以前相約。

14. 法老派去督工官員，會用鞭打方式去查問，為何當日的數量沒能達到之前的產量。

15. 以色列人的領頭為此到法老面前，哭訴為何這般對待服役的人？

16. 我問建材不足的事，督工不理，只叫人做磚，我們因此被打，這錯是你的是官員所犯。

17. 法老回應：是你們不夠努力，懶散的緣故。想去偷懶，就來說到曠野去獻祭。

18. 不用多說，現在回去開工。不會提供建築材料，出產數量也不能少。

19. 那些督工由此，對以色列人的態度更差，嚴格執行數量不能少的要求。

20. 這些領頭人從法老出來的時候，遇見摩西和亞倫。

21. 有人對摩西說：願那自有永有者鑑察你的作為，是你們讓法老認為我們是與他作對，要用刀架在我們頭上。

22. 摩西便對耶和華，這位自有永有者訴說：為何差我們到來，又為何這樣苦待祢的子民？

23. 自我奉你的名，去見法老以來，他一直加害他們，也沒有履行祢說的釋送！

這是一篇摩西訴苦陳情，理由是耶和華這位稱自有永有的者，到這日，似乎是看不到出路。

摩西自己有領受，耶和華顯明會幫助，也賜下能力，用以展示，能讓法老知道，他這行的目的，不單是他想做，耶和華那自有永有者，也在幫助要完成這事。

那麼當摩西有這樣的領受，祂是該如何去定出實行的步驟？

摩西這種情況，他相信有耶和華自這位有永有的大能者同在，面對一位，在現實當中，財力實力都比你強百倍不止，做一件你能力不及的事，會如何為自己準備，用什麼說詞開始，做好前頭的準備？

我很幸運，沒有遇過。相信許多人都沒有，大家都生在平民家，而今日的世界，被有心人佈置了一條升遷之途，按步就班，在這樣的設計下，成了某個成功的圈子，如 Lawmaker 這個行業，它掌扼釋法權，那是可以把法律用在立法和如何違法的解釋。又如從商，當中有銀行、證券、由此產生的理財工具和商業運作的不同模式，它同樣有條例的規範，人，是可以用手法去規避規範。人，做好做壞在乎一心。耶和華這位自有永有者，祂的心如何？相信祂是一意孤行，愛人到底。

為此，當摩西把自己的理想付之現實，用自己的方法，去策畫進行，那是一般人會選擇的方式。人人如此作決定，是要顯出自己是有能力辦事，好與不好是其次。摩西先不用耶和華的方法，耶和華也沒能即時出手更正，為此，他的家人，因為摩西的自橫，後果由家人承擔。

耶和華給摩西行奇事的能力，這能力應在何時展示，以至讓法老被懾服放行以色列人，就不會釀成以色列人受苦的結局？這是人的自傲促成的後果。若是今日的你，會不會另一個選擇，用何方式去對法老說，讓以色列人即時離開？
